Growing up in Jerusalem, Dalya Israeli spent many hours of her childhood walking through the markets and sifting through the treasures on the small streets of the "Old City". It was that mysterious feeling in the air that spurned her connection with beauty and art, bringing her lovely imagination for creating jewelry to life.
She studied design at Corcoran School of Arts in Washington D.C. in the United States soon thereafter, graduating in 1986. She then continued studies at the Holon Academic Institute of Technology in Israel. However, Dalya’s first design career began working as an Industrial Designer of Furniture Design in Tel Aviv until she landed her dream job working as an apprentice for a prestigious Jeweler and Design workshop. While there, she learned the craftsmanship of designing and creating handmade gold jewelry, while in conjunction with obtaining professional certifications in jewelry and goldsmithing from the Israel Ministry of Labor. Both the hands-on and professional academics gave her the skills she needed to launch her own jewelry design studio in 1997.
Dalya’s award winning designs come straight from heart, drawing inspiration from her unique studio in Modi’in and the love of her two children. Currently her renowned collections of fine gold pieces are much sought after in four local stores throughout Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with her newest collection offered exclusively to Galerina Jewelry online. This debut finally makes Dalya’s gold jewelry available to fans of her work worldwide. |
